This blog goes out to a friend of mine whom I had a conversation with on yesterday. We were talking about opportunities and the impact that the weather sometimes had on one's ability to be motivated. She made the remark that the weather made her somewhat drowsy and uninspired to work and all things being considered I understood where she was coming from,but at the same time it inspired a notion. For the simple fact that no matter what the weather looked like she still found herself at work in that office doing something that she did not feel like doing because of the working relationship that she has with the paycheck. Hmm...doesn't it make you wonder how people like that stay on a job 20 years and never really advance in or with the company? Well to put it mildly, that type of person could have accomplished alot had they took a chance; unforunately he or she now has a wealth of knowledge along with alot of regret for the decisions that they may have made. These type of people are those that complain about everything that's wrong with their job,supervisor,boss,work conditions and a host of other things; and yet still wake up everyday and go back to that place that they dred. The problem with this person is that time has escaped them along with hope and prosperity because they have been doing it for so long. And that's where the comfort level set in over the years of service to that company; as well as the bills and lifestyle that was afforded by that income. The difference is within inches laying dormant in the mind. Do something different and live for you and not a job!

Are You Happy?

Stop and think about the above statement and/or question. Now take a minute and reflect on your life's situation. For some this can be a troubling thought to realize that so much time has passed by,but yet there is not really much to show for it. Think about it for a second for those of us who have worked somewhere all of adult lives or childhood life and don't have the compensation for the work that we did. Most people want better;we want change,however for every 10 that want change, only 2 will make change. Change must be an action and not a word with powerful meaning. Nothing will ever change if you continue to do the same thing. Call it procrastination, hesitation, double-minded, confused or any other adjective that makes sense to you but at the end of the day it is what it is. Oppression and depression keeping you in the regressive state of mind of lost hope with a dim future.

I'm almost certain that you get the picture and understand where I am heading because I could go on and on. And to be honest we all have either been, still in, or trying to get out of the rat race. So the question is...when do we break the chains that have our minds warped.
